Le Piazze Dei Sapori...

I never know what to expect when festivals come to town in terms of food, but when Le Piazze dei Sapori showed up in Piazza Bra - I found myself in a heaven of gourmet cheese, meat, pastries, bread, olive oil and wine.

Some people, such as myself, believe food should also look as good as it tastes - making the vendors of this fantastic festival not only artisans in cheese, meat and bread, but artists in the presentation of their amazing products.

Not that it's hard to make a thousand tiny powdered pastries look beautiful, or stacks of bread and bottles of wine with grapes, surely the connotation of a thousand pastries (or bottles of wine) is enough to satisfy any half hungry human being, but intermixing the colors, the flavors and the textures creates an ambience of satisfaction beyond mere nutrition.

Here's a few photos from a great Sunday...

Cin Cin to an awesome day!! Always indulge in great food when you get a chance!
